Become a reporter

Who?

Anyone can become a reporter on AgoraVox. It is not required to know how to write like a first class journalist. Everyone of us can become sort of a "real-time sensor" of what is happening in our neighborhood by providing with stories, pictures, video or audio abstracts. Accidentaly or not, we all witness events that deserve being reported on, for which traditional media do not have interest in or do not have the means to focus on.

What is important is to be able to testify about an event you witnessed or that you discovered during your searches (on or off the Internet). AgoraVox does not claim any political, economical, cultural or religious belonging or tendencies. Our only goal is to report the most accurately as possible on facts that have been objectively noted, and which, as much as possible, cannot be disputed.

Why?

Why would you become a reporter? Simply to make your voice heard and to report on facts you have identified and that you think are not well covered, censored or ignored by traditional media. We could almost affirm that participating to the AgoraVox project is a citizen duty! As the Oh My News Corean team affirms, "Every Citizen is a Reporter". Yes, we are truly convinced that each citizen can become a real reporter. Beyond the "citizen duty", publishing on AgoraVox can allow you to increase your notoriety as well as that of your website or blog. Indeed, each author will be provided with a personalized descriptive page dedicated to him/her, on which he/she will be able to introduce him/herself and establish links to his/her sites. Finally, in the long run, the authors of the best stories will be remunerated depending on the traffic and interest they generate. AgoraVox is and will remain a free-of-charge website. In case the website is successful and generates important traffic, we will fairly reallocate part of the generated advertising revenue.

How?

To publish and become a reporter, it is necessary to suscribe using our form. In principal, unless exceptional circumstances, anonymous submissions are not accepted. Otherwise, to be a reporter on AgoraVox, it is required to accept our editorial policy. As of the writing itself, use your usual style. Be as natural as possible.
