A French-based Brit, Johnny has always thought of himself as something of a technophobe, But he’s gradually getting there and has even worked out how to upload photos from his recently-acquired, swanky state-of-the-art camera.

He still believes in the power of the written word and bases his stories on news he has read, seen and heard here in France, or wherever else he happens to be.

His hope - to shed a little light on stories that might otherwise not reach a wider audience and to read what others have to say about what’s happening in their corner of the world.

Dog lover, sports nut (Strictly-come-armchair variety), theatre-cinema-spectacle-goer, foodie. He’ll write about all of those things if there’s some sort of news angle involved.

Voilà quoi. Third person singular throughout, because that’s what he was taught to do from an early age and let’s face it, he just ain’t regal enough to warrant the first person plural.
